Here is
a basic outline for betting on all
sports types once you have logged
into the betting area.
Step
1:
First choose
the sport league you wish to bet on:
Step
2:
Now scroll
through the available games and choose
which team or teams you wish to bet
on. To choose a bet click on the small
box "bet" on the right of
the team name. If you are making a
combination bet, known as a parlay
or teaser, you must choose as many
bets as is necessary to complete the
multiple wager. This is determined
by the type of bet you choose. (see
wager types)
Step
3:
Before
you submit your betting ticket please
make sure to reload or refresh your
page so you can see the most current
lines. Live lines marked in red mean
a line has changed recently ( Example
Below), and will stay red up to 5mins
at a time. Make sure you have the
latest line on your betting ticket
before placing your bet to avoid a
line change notification message.
Step
4:
Enter
your wager amount in the "Bet"
or "To Win" box located
on the betting ticket. If the team,
line and wager amount are correct
on the betting ticket click the "CONFIRM
BET" box so that the green check
mark is visible. You are now ready
to click the "PLACE BET"
button and submit your wager.
Step
5:
The word
"SUBMITTED" should be visible
on the top of the betting ticket and
your wager info should be visible
below. Please remember to mark down
the "CONFIRMATION NUMBER "also
visible on the betting ticket before
placing another wager or closing the
page. You can now view your submitted
ticket by clicking "OPEN WAGERS
"at the top right of the screen.
Step
6:
In the
event your ticket was not submitted
and a red message is visible on your
betting ticket this means a problem
occured. Please follow the instructions
that appear on the ticket to help
resubmit your wager. In the example
below New Jersey was taken at -0.5
(-140) for $100. When the wager was
submitted a message appeared on the
ticket explaining that the odds changed
on this match preventing the ticket
from being submitted. The betting
ticket now has a new line -0.5(-145).
To remove the Wager from the betting
ticket because of the line change
simply click "New Bet "or
click the "x " on the top
right of the betting ticket box. If
you would like to keep the wager with
the new line, enter the wager amount
again and resubmit the ticket.
The team wagered on must win by
the point spread given at the time
of the wager. The odds are $1.10
to win $1.00 (-110) unless otherwise
indicated. Games that tie are considered
"no action" and money is re-deposited
back into your account. Due to changing
events, the point spread may fluctuate
at any time. Example: Player wagers
$110.00 on Miami -7 to beat Buffalo
+7. If Miami wins by more than 7
points the player wins $100.00 so
the total payout including the initial
wager would be $210.00. If Miami
only wins by 7 points then the game
is considered "no action" and all
money is returned to the bettor.
If the Miami wins by less than 7
points the wagers is lost.
Totals
Wager
The totals wager is based on the
combined total number of points
or goals scored by two teams in
a single game. A player bets on
whether the combined total number
of points or goals scored by the
two teams in the game will be over
or under the total set by the oddsmaker/handicapper.
Parlay
Wager
A parlay wager is a bet on two
or more teams or selections. It
is one of the more versatile forms
of sports wagering. The player can
combine different sports, point
spreads and money lines. In a parlay
wager the original stake and winnings
are re-invested on the next game,
and all selections must be correct,
that is, one loss and the parlay
loses.
Futures
and Propositions
A future wager is a wager made,
or lines/odds posted, on an event,
or outcome, that will be determined
sometime in the future. For example,
it might be a wager placed at the
start of the football season on
Miami Dolphins to win the Super
Bowl. All wagers are final. There
is no payoff until the end of the
season.
The main point to remember is
that future odds change continuously
throughout the season. In other
words, you get the odds which are
in effect at the time you place
a wager. Future wagers often attract
(high) odds to the player.
A proposition play is a wager
based on the outcome of events.
Odds change daily and all wagers
are considered action for the odds
quoted at the time of the wager.
In the case of a future/proposition
wager, if your selected team or
contestant does not take part in
the game or contest due to scratch,
injury etc., you will not receive
a refund.
Teaser
Wager
A teaser wager is a wager on two
or more teams or selections. The
difference between the teaser wager
and the parlay is that the player
can adjust or tease the line in
his/her own favor.
Money
Line Wagers
The team wagered on just has to
win the game. The amount you lay
or take for each game may vary.
The money line that is read to at
the time of your wager is the money
line you keep regardless of any
line movement. Example: The player
wagers on Miami -160 at Buffalo
+260. If Miami wins then the player
who laid $160.00 wins $100.00. If
Buffalo wins then the player who
laid $100.00 wins $260.00
